Trades in Temporary Locations (Loksem), Coached Locations (Lokbin), Food Court, as well as promotion locations and trade centers for other assisted Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) were exempted from paying tax levies and administrative sanctions.

Incentives in form of levy relief and or administrative sanction elimination, thus they can survive in facing the pandemic

Jakarta Industry, Trader, Cooperative, Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Agency Head, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo conveyed, levy relief for assisted traders is applied based on Jakarta Gubernatorial Regulation (Pergub) No. 61/2020 about Granting the Regional Levy Relief and/or Eliminating Administrative Sanctions for the Ratepayers who Affected by COVID-19 National Disaster.

According to her, this policy was taken to ease economic burden and provide stimulus to the ratepayers who affected by COVID-19.

"COVID-19 pandemic is weakening the economy of traders as ratepayers in terms of income. Incentives in form of levy relief and or administrative sanction elimination, thus they can survive in facing the pandemic," she explained, Monday (7/20).

According to her, levy relief and / or administrative sanction elimination is imposed on April 13, 2020 in accordance with national disaster determination based on Presidential Decree No. 12/2020 concerning Determination of Non-natural Disaster Spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) as National Disaster.

"This policy is valid until Pergub No. 61/2020 with status of COVID-19 spread as national disaster revoked," she added.

She said, the levy fees which paid by traders in April 2020 and the following months will be compensated for the next levy payment period or calculated with arrears owned.

"For those who have paid, there is no refund, but it will be calculated with arrears owned or compensated for the next month's payment," she closed.
